11 Afghans injured in anti-Koran-burning protests
Kabul, Afghanistan: Thousands of Afghans are protesting small American church's plan to burn the Muslim holy book. Officials say at least 11 people have been injured.

Police in the northern province of Badakhshan say several hundred of the demonstrators ran toward a NATO compound where four attackers and five police were injured in clashes. Protesters burned an American flag at a mosque after Friday prayers.

Police in Farah province in the west said two people were injured in a protest at another mosque.

The Rev. Terry Jones from the Dove Outreach Center in Florida triggered outrage by announcing he would burn the Koran on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

On Thursday, he announced he would cancel the plans, but later said he is reconsidering.
