The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, a fully residential educational institute has been providing comprehensive and complete education from kindergarten to post-graduation along with vocational, life-skill training. It is home to 25,000 tribal (indigenous) children including 15,000 girls.

NDTV, along with KISS, is celebrating those who are fighting against all odds to pursue the path of literacy and hopes that their stories will inspire many more to educate themselves and take charge of their destiny.
