He made these comments on the floor of the Karnataka assembly, leading to guffaws and cheer from other members in the Assembly and the Speaker. First, the MLA refused to apologise, and then when he did, he made it worse. He said "if" he has hurt the sentiments of women, he has "no problem apologising".
