Remdesivir Shortage Badly Hits Families In Tamil Nadu

Private hospitals in Tamil Nadu are witnessing a severe shortage of anti viral injection Remdesivir. A 70-year-old mother lost her life after after doctors failed to administer Remdesivir as the hospital had ran out of the anti-viral drug. Many are desperately appealing for help on social media. Amid reports of black-marketing the state government is reaching out to patients in private hospitals on a case to case basis. Chief Minister E Palaniswami has urged the centre to ensure easy availability.
