'India Must Wake Up': Former Navy Chief's Warning On Future Wars

Former US Army General and CIA Director David Petraeus warns that India must rapidly rethink its approach to warfare, drawing lessons from the conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia while adapting them to its unique geographical and security challenges involving China and Pakistan.

In The Petraeus Brief, former Army Chief General VP Malik (R) stresses that military strategies must reflect India's terrain, adversaries' capabilities and political objectives, rather than simply replicate foreign battlefield tactics. Former Navy Chief Admiral Arun Prakash (R) delivers a sharp assessment of India's defence preparedness, criticising delays in military reforms, technological gaps, the lack of an indigenous aero engine and insufficient political attention to national security. He warns of serious consequences if India enters a future conflict without urgently modernising its military structures and capabilities.
