Rajasthan's Double Worry: Heat And Power Crisis

The heatwave has further intensified power crisis. The demand for power is up by nearly 35% as compared to last year which means thermal power units are unable to function to capacity. Rajasthan has a shortfall of 3,000 megawatts of power and additional power cannot be bought even through power exchange with other states.
