Singapore remained engulfed in thick haze over the weekend as smoke from ongoing forest fires in neighboring Indonesia continued to affect air quality across the city-state. Air quality monitoring service IQAir recorded readings in the "very unhealthy" range on Saturday before conditions improved slightly to the "unhealthy" category on Sunday. The worsening air quality comes just ahead of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix race day.
