France Tornado News | Tornado Hits Near Carcassonne in France, Injures Dozens and Damages Homes
A tornado struck Pomas in southern France, near Carcassonne, late Monday afternoon, injuring dozens of people and damaging around 100 homes. The storm, which hit the foothills of the Pyrenees, caused extensive damage mainly to rooftops and blocked several roads. Around 2,800 households were still without electricity on Monday evening as emergency teams assessed the damage.
