The southwest monsoon is already showing signs of uncertainty this year. It is running late over Kerala and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has projected that seasonal rainfall is likely to be around 90 per cent of the Long Period Average, with a margin of error of four per cent. This suggests that below normal rainfall is the most likely outcome for the June to September season. NDTV's Science Editor Pallava Bagla brings you the report.
