Prohibitory Orders Continue In Leh After Deadly Violence
Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, continue to remain in force in Leh following the violence reported on September 24. Assembly of five or more persons has been banned in the district. Authorities have restricted processions, rallies, or marches without prior written approval. Heavy security deployment remains in place to maintain peace and order in the region.
