It was always inevitable; Congress leaders and party workers all knew that Rahul Gandhi, the great-grandson of India's first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, and from a family of Prime Ministers, would one day take over the 125-year-old party. He was announced as the party's vice president on Saturday.
