Cockroach Janta Party co-convener Ashutosh Ranka has intensified pressure on Delhi Police in the Nishu Azad case, alleging that the accused openly admitted to attacking Nishu's father yet remained free for months. After a meeting with senior police officials, Ranka claimed police assured protesters that stronger charges, including attempt-to-murder provisions and relevant sections of the SC/ST Act, would be added and that the accused would be arrested within 72 hours.
