9 Days Trapped Under Mud: 2 Workers Rescued Alive In Nepal

Two hydropower workers have been pulled alive from beneath tonnes of mud and debris, nine days after deadly floods struck Nepal. Sanjay Shah, 30, and Kabir Maharajan, 45, were rescued from the Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel in a dramatic operation. Experts believe an underground air pocket and trapped water may have helped them survive. With search teams from Nepal, India, China and South Korea still scouring damaged hydropower projects, rescuers are hoping for more survivors.
