Nepal Flood Alert: Flash Flood Forces Evacuations As Budhi Gandaki River Swells

Residents living along the Budhi Gandaki River in north-central Nepal were evacuated after a flash flood struck the region, damaging homes and other structures. Nepal's disaster management authorities moved villagers to safer areas and urged communities downstream to remain on alert as floodwaters surged through the river system. Emergency teams continue to monitor the situation closely. There were no immediate reports of casualties. Officials are investigating the cause of the sudden flooding, which affected the Budhi Gandaki River, a major waterway that later merges with the Trishuli River near Kathmandu.
