"Veteran sports journalist Sharda Ugra upon being asked about the lack of processes in dealing with issues of allegations being levied against officials said that "this is just a reflection of how poorly Indian sport is managed and run. Federations are supposed to have an athletes commission and sexual harassment redressal committees but the Wrestling Federation doesn't have the former not to mention the government wants to control sports so it defers to the ministers and such."
