UN Speech | UK PM Burnham Says Britain Will Tackle Russian Disinformation, Push AI Standards

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham told the UNGA on Tuesday that his country is the top contender for leading the global AI (artificial intelligence) race. "AI brings together so many of the most pressing issues before us. It is already speeding up cancer diagnosis in the UK, but AI has the potential to go further, not just to help prevent and treat cancer, but to help cure it," Burnham said. "AI will also be the key to economic growth, the route to transforming education, and it will be a vital tool to keep us safe."
