Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has chaired a review meeting to oversee relief and rescue measures following the tragedy in Nepal. He has directed Tamil Nadu's Resident Commissioner in New Delhi, Ashish Kumar, IAS, along with a team, to proceed to Kathmandu and coordinate with Nepali authorities to assist in rescue efforts and facilitate the safe return of survivors.
CM Vijay has also directed four ministers handling PWD, School Education, Agriculture and Non-Resident Tamils to travel to Delhi to coordinate with the Union Government, monitor rescue and relief operations, facilitate the speedy return of those rescued and ensure immediate medical assistance.
