National Unity Day | Home Minister Amit Shah Flags-Off 'Run For Unity' On Sardar Patel's Anniversary
Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off the 'Run For Unity' in New Delhi to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 151st birth anniversary, observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day. The run began from Gate Number 1 of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and is expected to witness around 7,700 participants. The India Gate C-Hexagon remained closed from 6:45 am to 9 am to facilitate the event, with the Delhi Traffic Police issuing a traffic advisory.
