"Mumbai Mayor Will Be Marathi And Hindu": Devendra Fadnavis Ahead Of BMC Polls
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has defended his statement that Mumbai's mayor will be Marathi and Hindu, saying that promoting Marathi identity is not "Marathi-vaad" but a constitutional right of regional pride. Speaking to NDTV, Fadnavis said Mumbai should not be treated as an exception when other cosmopolitan cities like Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad have mayors rooted in local identity.
