Madani Threatens Of 'Jihad': Provocation Rationalised For Votes?

First, it was a defense of the Delhi bombers, and now there is a threat of jihad. Is Jamiat trying to incite the country's Muslims to take to violence, to take to the streets? This question needs to be asked today, following Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind chief Mahmood Madani's speech in Bhopal, which has drawn outrage and condemnation. Madani spoke about the rights of minorities and the perceived increased persecution of Muslims in India. He also addressed what he called the misrepresentation of the word jihad.
