Assam News | Northeast India Gets Its First VFS Global VISA Application Centre In Guwahati

Northeast India has received its first VFS Global Visa Application Centre in Guwahati, allowing residents across all eight northeastern states to apply for visas to 14 countries without travelling outside the region. Located at the Inter-State Bus Terminus, the 3,200-square-foot facility was inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday. The centre will process applications for countries including the UK, France, Italy, Switzerland and Japan, supporting travel for education, business and tourism. The new facility is expected to make visa services more accessible for applicants across the Northeast.
