Karnataka Congress MLA HK Patil Warns Of Resignation Over Gadag Drought
Karnataka Congress MLA H.K. Patil has warned of resigning from his Assembly seat if Gadag is not declared drought-hit by October 10. In a letter to Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Patil cited deficient monsoon rainfall, crop losses and the impact on farmers, saying Gadag received only about 50% of its expected rainfall.
