'Insult To Bihar's Daughter': BJP Slams Rohini Acharya's Alleged Mistreatment

A day after the RJD's massive defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya stunned the political landscape by announcing that she is disowning her family and quitting politics.

Reacting sharply, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain expressed deep anguish, calling Rohini "Bihar's daughter" and saying it was painful to hear about the alleged insults she faced - including abusive remarks and a slipper being thrown at her.
Shahnawaz highlighted that Rohini had donated her kidney to her father when her brothers did not, despite claiming to carry forward Lalu Yadav's political legacy. He criticised those who allegedly instigated the disrespect towards her, adding that in Bihar, daughters are respected across caste and religion, and any insult to them deeply hurts the state's cultural ethos.
