India Open To Venezuelan Crude Based On Viability, Says MEA Spokesperson

The Indian government reiterated that ensuring energy security for its 1.4 billion people remains a top priority and clarified that it is open to sourcing crude oil from Venezuela and other suppliers only if commercially viable. The statement by Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal came amid claims from the United States suggesting India would halt Russian oil imports, a point New Delhi did not confirm.
