Gurmeet Ram Rahim Out Again: 17th Release Sparks Outrage, Political Row
Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence in connection with the rape of two women disciples, has once again been granted 21 days of furlough. Ram Rahim, lodged in Haryana's Sunaria jail in Rohtak, has been permitted to leave prison and travel to the Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters in Sirsa. He is expected to reach the Sirsa dera after his release from the jail. This marks another temporary release for the jailed Dera chief. According to the information available, he has now been released from prison on 17 occasions, including the latest 21-day furlough.
