Karnataka SIR: DK Shivakumar Seeks More Time, Warns Genuine Voters Could Be Excluded
Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has written to the Election Commission seeking more time and a smoother verification process for the 2026 Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He warned that genuine voters could risk being left out and called for an extension of the claims period, more time for verification, proper ground-level meetings and additional election officials.
