As Onam festivities get underway, children in Kurampala, Pandalam, are reviving the traditional folk art of Pulikali in Kerala. The colourful tiger dance is being performed from door to door during Thiruvonam, keeping alive a grassroots cultural tradition. Pulikali depicts a tiger entering a village and being hunted by local hunters, symbolising the triumph of good over evil.
