Tarun Tejpal Case: SC Orders Rape Convict Tarun Tejpal To Surrender Within Two Weeks
The Supreme Court has rejected former Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal’s plea seeking exemption from surrender and directed him to surrender within two weeks. The court also directed Tejpal to furnish his surrender certificate before it. Tejpal is challenging the Bombay High Court judgment convicting him in the 2013 rape case and sentencing him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.
