The INDIA bloc has placed 10 key demands before the Supreme Court in its challenge to the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The Opposition is seeking access to all SIR records, a review of the exercise's constitutional validity, action against errant officials and a stay on the ongoing revision across states. Its demands also include an independent audit panel led by a former Supreme Court judge, booth-wise publication of deleted voters' names and safeguards against voter deletions without prior notice and a hearing.
