'SIR Protests Aim To Browbeat Supreme Court': Anand Ranganathan
Speaking on the politics of protest, political analyst Anand Ranganathan said citizens have a democratic right to dissent but argued that protests linked to the SIR controversy risk becoming an attempt to influence judicial proceedings. While questioning the rationale behind the agitation, he maintained that the Supreme Court should be allowed to rule independently and warned against equating democratic protest with pressure on constitutional institutions.
