Congress leader Ajit Jogi was caught on tape trying to buy BJP MLAs to form a government at Chhattisgarh in 2003. It was the biggest political expose to hit the Congress party. But now the case is at a dead end and the BJP may have its own carelessness to blame for it. In its excitement to make public the dramatic expose the party forgot to guard the real evidence. The BJP made hundreds of copies of Jogi's audio tape but lost the original.
