Actor Anupam Kher who plays Dr Manmohan Singh in the film The Accidental Prime Minister, in an exclusive to NDTV, said that those objecting to the film should actually see it as it has dialogues eulogising the former Prime Minister. He further added that when films are made abroad on famous personalities such as Lincoln and Mahatma Gandhi they are sent to the Oscars but here they are dragged into a controversy. He went on to say that "I should be nominated for an Oscar for this film. Furthermore, when asked about the politics associated with the film, Mr Kher said," BJP's master strategy is to use this film and politicians are here to play politics".
