Delhi Police Flags Fake Narratives Around Jantar Mantar Protest, Blocks 400 Handles
In a detailed briefing on the ongoing Jantar Mantar protests, Delhi Police alleged that misinformation, deepfake videos and AI-generated content were being used to spread false narratives and create panic on social media. Police said more than 400 social media handles linked to the circulation of misleading content had been identified and blocked, including accounts allegedly operating from Pakistan.
