"Convict Has Right To Campaign For Daughter": BJP Supporter On Gujarat Polls

"Irrespective of him (Manoj Kukrani) being a convict, he has the right to support his daughter. We do not have any provision in the Indian constitution that says it is wrong. The father has already been convicted. Phulan Devi was convicted on so many murders, but she campaigned and became a parliamentarian," political analyst Geeta Bhatt, who supports the BJP, said when asked what signal does the BJP send by allowing the convict in the Naroda Patiya murders to campaign for her daughter that has been nominated to fight the Gujarat elections.
