Chennai Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi on Covid Challenges, Strategy
Senior bureaucrat Gagandeep Singh Bedi who handled the tsunami in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu has been appointed commisioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation amid the second Covid wave. The city records around 6,500 cases every day. NDTV spoke to Mr Bedi and Deputy Commissioner Mr Sridhar on the city's strategy to fight the surge as it grapples with a shortage of beds and oxygen.
