Tamil Nadu Gets Major Relief In Cauvery Water Dispute The Karnataka government has suffered a setback in the ongoing Cauvery water dispute after the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) directed the state to release 3,500 cusecs of water daily to Tamil Nadu, effective from July 29. The order is expected to provide relief to Tamil Nadu amid the continuing inter-state water-sharing conflict.
