A Healing Touch Needed For Doctors Too
India's coronavirus cases and deaths hit a new record with 3.49 lakh fresh infections and 2,767 deaths in the last 24 hours. With the country's healthcare system buckling under the weight of frightening surge, doctors and frontline workers are overburdened as they try to save lives. Doctors who are used to performing under intense pressure but as the rate of coronavirus infections outstrips the capacity of the health system, they are confronting situations for which nothing in their training prepared them - the breaking point being their hospitals are running out of oxygen. On this episode of 'We The People', we want to stand with the thousands of frontline medical practitioners and health workers who face the deluge of death this pandemic and do not have the luxury of staying safe at home.
