500 Girl Athletes Step In Pencak Silat League 25 Under Khelo India Initiative
Over 500 girls from across Jammu & Kashmir gathered in Srinagar for the Pencak Silat League 2025, organised under the Khelo India ASMITA initiative (Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women through Action). The league became one of the largest martial arts events for girls in the region, showcasing the art of pencak silat — a Southeast Asian combat sport known for its fluidity and self-defence techniques.
