Travelling To Rishikesh From Bengaluru Just Got Easier, Thanks To Launch Of Special Train

The special train from Bengaluru to Rishikesh will depart on June 19.

There has been a new travel update that is likely to make all mountain-lovers happy. The Railway Board has decided to launch a special train between Bengaluru and Rishikesh to meet the increased passenger demand, especially in these rising temperatures, reports The Deccan Herald. This will be the first direct rail connectivity between Bengaluru and Uttarakhand, claims the South Western Railway (SWR).  Train number 06597 Yeshwantpur-Rishikesh Express Special will be departing from  Yeshwantpur at 7 am on June 19, 26 and July 3. It will reach Rishikesh at 10.20 am on Saturdays. On the return journey, train number 06598 Rishikesh-Yeshwantpur Express Special will depart from Rishikesh at 5.55 pm on June 21, 28 and July 5. It will arrive at Yeshwantpur at 7.45 pm on Mondays.

The train will make pit stops at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Dhone, Kurnool City, Kacheguda, Kazipet, Balharshah, Nagpur, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra Cantonment, Mathura, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Tapri, Roorkee and Haridwar Junction in both directions.
