Indian travellers are showing a growing love for South Korea, and it is easy to see why. From binge-worthy K-dramas and chart-topping K-pop to skincare trends and street food, the country has become a cultural hotspot for young Indians as well as families and group travellers. Now, South Korea has made a move that could make visiting even easier. In a new update, South Korea has extended its group visa fee waiver for select countries, including India, until June 30, 2027, as per reports. The decision is aimed at boosting inbound tourism while making organised travel smoother and more budget-friendly.
What Has Changed In The Policy
Under this policy, eligible group tourists can benefit from a reduced or completely waived visa fee. The usual visa processing charge of KRW 18,000 (around Rs 1,155) will not apply to travellers who are part of approved group tours. However, this benefit is only available for tours organised through registered travel agencies.

Who Can Avail The Waiver
There are a few conditions travellers need to keep in mind. The waiver is strictly for group travel and does not apply to individuals. This means you must book your trip through an authorised travel agency, travel as part of a pre-arranged group, and submit your documents collectively via the agency. Solo travellers or those planning independent trips will not be eligible for this fee waiver.
