A Noida-based CEO has shared a piece of personal travel experience with his family on social media. Interestingly, he shared insights about his decision not to fly business class with his kids the next time. The founder and CEO of YesMadam, Mayank Arya, took to his LinkedIn handle and recounted his experience of taking his kids in a business class for the first time. Contrary to his initial thought that the experience would be premium, he felt something was missing.

Despite being offered all the luxurious amenities of the business class, the CEO did not find it to be the best choice. Mayank mentioned, "Spacious seats, priority boarding, better meals- sab kuch tha. Bas ek cheez nahi thi- warmth and Apna pan. (Everything was there. But only one thing was absent - warmth and togetherness)." He continued, "Seats were far away. We couldn't sit together. No games, no silly riddles, no asking "Papa, how much longer?" every 5 minutes. No chance to just be a family."

In the same post, Mayank explained the small joys of life in such moments, adding, "In economy, we've always sat together - thoda adjust kar ke, thoda hass ke. We've played games, shared food, passed headphones, and created real memories." This is when he realised it wasn't the right decision. "That's when it hit me, as a father, it's not just about giving your kids comfort. It's about giving them the right values," he further added.

"Struggle bhi dikhani hai, aspiration bhi jagani hai. Business class tabhi jab woh khud afford karein. Not just because Papa could. Next trip, they'll be flying economy. Because luxury doesn't build character. Discomfort sometimes does. Mostly does!" he concluded. Check out the viral post here.

Social media users resonated with the doting father's honest decision about instilling true values in his kids. Many even praised his parenting style.

Another person added, "Beautifully put - 'discomfort mostly builds character'."

"Couldn't agree more! Been there, done that-and honestly, the real fun (and bonding) is in economy. Leg space kam hota hai, par heart space zyada," read a comment.

Someone said, "Such a powerful parenting insight - not everything expensive adds value."
