There's something magical about Goa - the way its beaches, palm trees, and warm breeze instantly put you in holiday mode. But this time, instead of opting for a resort or hotel, I wanted to try something different - a villa stay. With the growing culture of villa vacations in Goa, the idea of having a private home away from home felt too tempting to resist. So, during my recent trip, I booked La Mosteiro Villa 8 in Assagao, and it turned out to be one of the best travel decisions I've made.
First Impressions:
In the serene lanes of Goa's most charming and leafy neighbourhoods, La Mosteiro Villa 8 by The Blue Kite is part of a gated community designed by Vianaar. The moment we entered, we were struck by its Indo-Portuguese architecture - sage-green windows, arched entrances, and graceful pillars that gave the villa an old-world Goan charm.
The villa exudes understated luxury - a private pool glistening under the sun, lush gardens, and a first-floor balcony overlooking the greens, which was perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink.

Spacious and Stylish Villa:
La Mosteiro Villa 8 has four spacious and comfortable bedrooms. The ground floor opens into a large living and dining area that seamlessly connects with the outdoor garden - my daughter's favourite spot, where she could run freely without a care. The villa can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people, making it ideal for families or a group of friends.

Every corner of the house has a design detail worth noticing. The French windows flood the interiors with natural light, while the terrazzo flooring with brass inlays adds a distinct artistic touch. The bathrooms feature micro-concrete finishes and patterned tiles, reminiscent of old Goan homes but with a modern twist. Even the light fixtures are tastefully chosen, giving the villa a cozy, lived-in feel.

The Thoughtful Service:
Before we even arrived, the team had already set up a WhatsApp group to coordinate our stay - a small gesture that made a big difference. They shared recommendations for nearby restaurants, beaches, and even cab services. The villa was spotless when we checked in - clean, well-maintained, and stocked with essentials.
A special mention goes to Pradip, the caretaker, who made our stay incredibly comfortable. From brewing tea just the way we liked it to ensuring everything ran smoothly, he was always around when needed - but never intrusive. The villa also comes with a cook, which is a huge plus. You can plan your meals, and they'll prepare them fresh.
One morning, we requested a typical Indian breakfast - omelettes, paranthas, and aloo puri, served with fresh fruits and juice. It was nothing short of delightful and made us feel right at home.

Location: Close to the Best of Goa
One of the biggest perks of staying here is the location. Assagao is conveniently close to popular beaches like Vagator and Anjuna, as well as some of Goa's best-known restaurants. Yet, the villa itself is tucked in a quiet lane, offering peace and privacy when you want to retreat from the bustle.
Our stay at La Mosteiro Villa 8 was everything a Goan holiday should be - relaxing, indulgent, and full of happy moments. It offered the perfect balance of luxury and homeliness.
If you're planning a family getaway or a trip with friends, and you crave space, privacy, and personalised hospitality, La Mosteiro Villa by The Blue Kite, designed by Vianaar should definitely be on your list.
