The Ganga Mahotsav is celebrated every year to showcase the cultural heritage and spiritual significance of the River Ganges. This year, the festivities will begin on November 1 and conclude on November 4. During this period, visitors can witness the ghats of Kashi transform into an illuminated paradise, adorned with lamps and diyas floating on the river. There will also be soulful music, dance, and instrumental performances by renowned artists. Organised by the Uttar Pradesh government, the Ganga Mahotsav will primarily take place at Rajghat and Namo Ghat.

The Ganga Mahotsav 2025: Day-To-Day Breakdown

November 1:

According to a report by The Times of India, Day 1 will feature a duet Kathak performance by legendary artists Pandit Mata Prasad Mishra and Pandit Ravi Shankar Mishra. Dr. Ripi Mishra will present a classical rendition, while Pandit Naval Kishore Mallik will showcase his guitar skills. Additionally, Ravi Sharma and his group will perform Braj folk music.

November 2:

Visitors will be treated to sitar and violin performances by Prof. Pandit Sahitya Nahar and Dr. Pandit Santosh Nahar, followed by Padma Shri Geeta Chandran's Bharatanatyam act. Shivani Shukla, Vandana Mishra, and Rajkumar Tiwari will enchant the audience with their melodious classical vocals. The night will conclude with Om Prakash's soulful devotional bhajans.

November 3:

The ghats of Kashi will welcome folk artist Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, who will bring to life spirited North Indian rural folk songs. Joining her on stage will be Kathak dancer Vishal Krishna, flautist Chetan Joshi, and Odissi dancer Vidushi Kavita Dwivedi - setting the stage for a vibrant cultural evening.

November 4:

Popular bhajan singer Hansraj Raghuvanshi will take the spotlight on the final day, accompanied by classical singer Shubhankar Dey, sitarist Prem Kishore Mishra, and Kathak dancer Shivani Mishra with her troupe.
