Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday announced withdrawing "VIP" registration numbers of four vehicles of his convoy to make them available to the common public.

Like anywhere in India and abroad it is mandatory in the state of MP to get a permanent registration of vehicles. The Trade Certificate number of the dealer (temporary registration) for a new vehicle has to be converted into a permanent registration number.

Every vehicle, including that of top constitutional authorities, should display the registration number, the Delhi High Court said. The rule, the court said, will apply to the vehicles of the President, the Vice-President, governors and Lieutenant Governors of states and Union territories.
