Security forces in Arunachal Pradesh arrested two ULFA (I) terrorists during an operation in Tirap district, police said on Monday.

The banned ULFA (Independent) outfit on Tuesday took responsibility for an ambush on an Army patrol party in Assam's Tinsukia district on the previous day, in which security forces have claimed that at least one terrorist was injured.

Two employees of state-owned energy company ONGC were rescued after an encounter near the India-Myanmar border in Nagaland today, while a search for a third employee is underway, Assam police chief Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said.
