The Defence Ministry has suspended all business dealings with Vectra Advanced Engineering Private Ltd for one year in view of a probe by the CBI into the allegations of wrongdoings against it in the Tatra Truck deal, officials said today.

A court in Delhi today dismissed the bail plea of Lieutenant General (retired) Tejinder Singh for allegedly offering a bribe to former Army Chief General (retired) VK Singh in the Tatra truck deal case and ordered for Tejinder Singh to be taken into custody.

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday filed a closure report in a case related to alleged irregularities in Tatra all-terrain vehicle supplied to the Indian army.

Probing the bribery allegation levelled by former Army Chief V K Singh, CBI has recorded the statements of Defence Minister A K Antony and the Prime Minister's Advisor T K A Nair.

A Delhi court will today decide whether or not to summon former Army Chief VK Singh in a defamation case filed against him by retired Lieutenant General Tejinder Singh. The court had earlier noted that it cannot draw any conclusions based on Tejinder's witnesses.
