Tatra Truck Case: Defence Ministry Suspends Business With Vectra Company

The Defence Ministry has suspended all business dealings with Vectra Advanced Engineering Private Ltd for one year in view of a probe by the CBI into the allegations of wrongdoings against it in the Tatra Truck deal, officials said today.

CBI gets permission to probe ex-BEML chief Natarajan in Tatra case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has got the Centre's nod to probe the role of VRS Natarajan, head of the government-run defence unit Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), in connection with the controversial Tatra truck deal. Mr Natarajan had been suspended earlier in the day based on a recommendation by the CBI.

Ex-army chief General VK Singh summoned to court in July for defamation case

General VK Singh, who has been sued for defamation, has been summoned to a Delhi court on July 20. General Singh, who retired last month, has been sued by Tejinder Singh, a former army officer, who allegedly offered General Singh 14 crores as a bribe for clearing "substandard trucks" in 2010.
