SPML Infra on Tuesday said its debt will reduce significantly after a Cabinet decision that allows release of 75 per cent of the arbitral awards against bank guarantee in cases where the award is challenged.

Meanwhile, another infrastructure company SPML Infra shares also rallied over 15 per cent as it has arbitration awards worth Rs 250 crore.

Infrastructure development company SPML has bagged two orders worth Rs 721 crore from Bhavnagar Irrigation Project Division, Gujarat and South Bihar Power Distribution Company, Patna.

The two orders received from SBPDCL are for rural electrification projects in Patna and Gaya districts under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana, SPML Infra said.
