Shiv Kumar Shot Dead

A criminal, carrying a large prize on his head and wanted in the case of the murder of a local BJP leader and two of his security guards, surrendered in Greater Noida on Monday, police said. Sheru Bhati, a resident of Ghanghola, was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.

Family members of a BJP functionary, who was shot dead yesterday at Tigri village in Noida, today demanded a CBI probe into the killing and the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.

A BJP leader and his security guard were shot dead by attackers on a bike in Greater Noida near Delhi this evening. Shiv Kumar Yadav was in his Toyota Fortuner car when the bikers reportedly drove up and fired shots at the car in the Bisrakh area. The BJP leader died instantly.
