Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi, on Wednesday said the Food and Drug Administration of Philippines has granted marketing approval to its Dengvaxia vaccine to be licensed for the prevention of dengue in Asia.

The additional cases will generate revenue of Rs 25,000 crore, ministry officials said, excluding the Rs 20,000 crore the government hopes to recover from British telecom operator Vodafone group. Euro Pacific Security and Pan Asia have already paid the taxes as per the IT Department’s tax demand, ministry officials said.
