The Supreme Court today allowed mining-rich states to collect past dues on royalties from mining companies. The court ordered that states can impose levies with effect from April 1, 2005 and the payments will be staggered in 12 years.

Oppo, Nokia Resolve All Pending Patent Disputes via Cross Licencing Deal

Nokia announced on Wednesday that it had signed a 5G patent cross-licensing deal with Chinese smartphone maker Oppo that resolves patent litigation between the companies. Spotify, in an attempt to control the proliferation of computer-generated music on its platform, removed seven percent of the songs published by AI music company, Boomy.
